Lebanon Camps
Please find below the basic information you need to know before applying to join us in Lebanon.
For more detailed information about the Lebanon Camps please open the document at the bottom of this page, or contact Ellie Coward at lebanon@omv.org.uk.
Price:
The cost of attending the Lebanon Camps is £550 for both weeks, or £500 for just one week.
This cost covers only the flights and insurance, all over costs are covered by fundraising for the project by both the British and Lebanese Associations of the Order of Malta Volunteers.
If you are attending for just one week, if you are eligible for a bursary, or if you would like to attend as a member of the medical team or clergy, please email Ellie for the correct bursary code.

Volunteer requirements:
-
First Aid Training - Volunteers will have to have undertaken First Aid training, either by attending the Order of Malta training day in London on Saturday 24th May, or by independently organising recognised training through preferably the Red Cross or St John’s Ambulance.
-
CRB checks – all volunteers must have valid CRB (DBS) clearance through the Order of Malta or Hospitaller Limited. These forms will be completed at the Order of Malta training day in London on Saturday 24th May. Anyone without clearance and who is not able to attend the training day should contact Ellie as soon as possible.
-
Age – I am afraid that we are not able to take anyone below the age of 18 on the Lebanon Camps, unless they are accompanied by an older sibling or parent.
-
Passports – as soon as an application has been accepted, all volunteers are required to supply their passport number, expiry date and confirm their name as it appears.
*** Anyone who has travelled to Israel should contact Ellie as they will NOT be allowed to enter Lebanon if they have Israeli travel stamps in their passports.
-
Foreign Office advice and Security – we closely monitor and follow the British Foreign Office advice for Lebanon. All activities, trips and travel will be exclusively in areas deemed safe.
If you have any questions about any of the above information, please contact Ellie Coward at lebanon@omv.org.uk.
